In this sermon, we will explore why crucifixion was the chosen method by God for Jesus’ death on the cross. We will emphasize Jesus’ humble, sacrificial mindset and obedience to God’s plan. By highlighting the public, shameful, sacrificial, and horrific nature associated with crucifixion, explaining how Jesus’ death took on the shame of our sins. Then we will call one another as believers to emulate Jesus’ sacrificial mindset, prioritizing the interests of others above their own. Challenging us to leave behind the pursuit of worldly success and inviting us to live a life for the glorification of God.
