Have you ever felt hopeless? Have you ever felt there was no way out? Have you ever felt stuck?
There are times in life where we all feel this, and it is important to know we are not alone. In particular, God’s people throughout His Word feel this way at times as well. Especially the Psalter of Psalm 77. In this sermon, we take a critical look at the Psalter’s despairing words and ask when we have felt this way in life. Then we look to the Psalter’s solution to his despair, and we discover the solution to our despair as well. Hope is closer than we imagine. Hope is right there. Hope is easier to obtain than we may think.
Join in discovering this hope through a little practice known as remembrance.
The purpose of this message is the following:
THINK: About the times of struggle in their lives they are presently going through and how God is already present and working in them through them regardless of their struggle. All that is needed is for us to remember.
KNOW: God is good. Regardless of what we face or what comes our way the goodness of God does not change. His everlasting love is still the same.
FEEL: A need to remember the good things of God in the moment of trial for strength in the knowledge of His everlasting covenant to us through His everlasting love.
